Let it go—

Let go of every thought that’s tied a knot

So taut you thought you ought

To be better off dead and

Rotting

Rather than a rotting plot

On a giant dot

We call home yet

Simultaneously plot

Against it

Like it owes us something

When the truth is

We owe Mother Earth

Motherly care and protection

From ourselves

With ourselves by ourselves for ourselves

And the generations to come

That keep coming,

And coming,

And coming, and coming, and coming

Faster than I can type words on

A keyboard too small for thumbs

On a phone too big for pockets

Of shorts too short for

Children

In a society that doesn’t know

Up

From

Down

Left from right

Go from

STOP.

Let it go

So you don’t

Go.
